| Powdercoating Cafe Racer Parts |
|
First up are some of the things I didn't get powdered. I didn't have time to teardown the forks, so those got a lick of epoxy paint. This is a pic just after wire-brushing off all of the anodizing. You'll see a pic of the results when I reassemble her, but right now, they came out a little too flat for me. The other bits are a master cylinder and hand control parts drying. We got a bit of a cold spell here in Dallas so I had to dry some of the parts of the diningroom light--next to the Christmas decorations. Yep, my wife was away at the time.
Here's all the stuff back from powder. Since the wheels were cast, some inperfections bubbled throught and they had to do them twice--eventually hot coating them. Needless to say, they turned out nice. The rest are all little bits that I got back. It doesn't look like much, but really, most of the bike is torn apart here.
I was taking a small break from the midget project and decided to start to reassemble her. I needed her high enough so I could reattach stuff, so I hung it off the engine hoist.
